Chamaelaucium uncinatum is the botanical name of wax flower. The plant belongs to the Myrtaceae family having such common relatives as eucalyptus, myrtle and leptospermum. Being a versatile alternative to gypsophila, waxflower represents miniature flowers and leaves resembling pine needles borne on slender, woody stems. Waxflower is very odorous having strong citrus lemon smell when being crushed.
